It starts with the first appointment<\/strong> in Bordeaux, where I try to understand<\/strong> the bride and groom<\/strong> ‘s vision of<\/strong> their happiest day. Then I try to see if their organization<\/strong> is on paper<\/strong> compatible<\/strong> with all the hazards<\/strong> and service providers present<\/strong>. There will be as many appointments<\/strong> as it takes<\/strong> to get everything right.<\/p>\n

What’s more, from experience<\/strong> I’m able to see things that others don’t necessarily see, such as the best time<\/strong> totake photos<\/strong>, depending on the light<\/strong>, the location, and so on.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Know that as soon as<\/strong> you choose me<\/strong>, we’ll we’ll see<\/strong> minimum<\/strong> 2 to 3 times with no time limit<\/strong>, then I’ll go on an unannounced tour of<\/strong> the wedding venue (town hall, church, chateaux \/ hall) to check<\/strong> that everything is ok and that there are no<\/strong> particular constraints<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If I notice<\/strong> anything<\/strong> that might upset<\/strong> us on the big day, I’ll let you know<\/strong> and we can work together<\/strong> to find an appropriate solution<\/strong>. Of course, this visit also allows me to see<\/strong> the lighting conditions<\/strong> and the equipment<\/strong> I need to<\/strong>take<\/strong> with me on the big day<\/strong>. On that famous day, I’ll be there, of course, but you’ll find it easy to forget me.<\/p>\n

Once the wedding is over<\/strong>, I still have a lot of work<\/strong> to do. Back in my office in Bordeaux<\/strong>, I have to empty<\/strong> the memory<\/strong> cards, sort<\/strong> the photos to keep<\/strong> only the nectar of<\/strong> your day, and then start post-processing<\/strong>. Sorting and post-processing alone can represent<\/strong> up to 60 hours of cumulative work<\/strong>. Once the photos have been processed, all I have to do is put<\/strong> them on a USB flash drive<\/strong>, then back<\/strong> them up<\/strong> to an online gallery <\/strong>so that I can keep them forever. In short, the job of

Planning for the big day is surely the most difficult exercise after the seating plan… that’s where it all comes down. If you’re too optimistic, you’ll open the ball 2 hours late and have to pay extra for the caterer and photographer at the end of the evening, or if you’re too pessimistic, you’ll open the ball at 7pm.<\/p>\n

Let’s be clear about this: if this is your first wedding, you’re going to need a reliable reference. The only service provider who will be close to you all day is the photographer. It’s your personal assistant of sorts, able to manage timings and warn you if you’re running early or late.<\/p>\n

Of course, if you have a Wedding Planner you’ll be even more relaxed on the big day. But with a good, experienced photographer, you can be sure of being well guided and informed.<\/p>\n
